I know Pentium Tualatins have -S to indicate dual processor support, but what about Celerons?
I found these Celerons - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tualatin-Celeron-1-4G … =item4162404823
Its an OK price for me and i am thinking of abandoning the dual Athlon MP setup (because of so many set backs) and going for dual Slot 1 processor motherboard.

Can any one help me out with info on this?

I don't think any Celerons support dual-CPU use. Celerons have always been marketed as "budget" processors, and back when the Tualatin was new, dual CPU systems were strictly in the high-end portion of the market, meaning that Intel likely didn't bother to add dual CPU support to their low-end chips.

I had an Abit Board that supported Dual Celeron processors.
Hmm. I will need to do more research, because i am sure i saw somebody use dual Tualatin Celerons.

Wikipedia:

Mendocino Socket 370 processors can use multiprocessing when used on specific dual Slot 1 motherboards by using a slot adapter. The unofficial SMP support was removed in the Coppermine Celerons

So, is it possible to run Dual Tualatin Pentium III-S on this board via that special slocket with voltage regulation?

[Edit]

Or possibly these??

A quick search brought up this where a guy mentions it maxed out at (2) 1.1ghz pentium 3 processors:

Even with 2x1.1GHz CPU's, you would still have a pretty badass system.

I don't think that the socket adapters will 'override' the actual board's capability, but I of course have not tried it myself, so I am not sure.

The eBay page from your link does not list your motherboard at the bottom of the page as one of the compatible ASUS boards.

Ive read that there are differences between board revision, where 1.12 is the newest and natively supports voltages for Tualatin.
I have version 1.06. I will try it with an Tualatin 1.3GHz (with power slocket) once it arrives.

[Edit]

A Tualatin is a Tualatin is a Tualatin - if your board can run one, it
can run them all. Perhaps what they are trying to convey is the fact
that 256K Tualatins (both Celeron and PIII) are not dual-processor
capable - only the 512K PIII-S versions support SMP.

Dual 1.4Ghz PIII-S on a P2B-DS here - and I don't see my board on the
supported list 😀 I'm running them at stock speed because my current
video card can't handle more than an 89Mhz AGP bus, but the processors
will do 1575Mhz (150Mhz FSB) no problem.

Found some info there.

That's good to hear that it works.

Since this requires modification of a certain part, what if i used those Tualatins with already installed adapters?
I am not sure how will the voltage variation affect this.
