Is this thing ( http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Intel-Pentium-Over … =item258c53d249 ) compatible with motherboards with Symphony chipset?

That's a tricky thing to determine. You basically need to specifically determine if the motherboard is compatible and hopefully even find some reports of actual success with it (usenet maybe). Socket 3 Pentium Overdrive (P24T) was not well supported. Even boards that say they support it don't always work well with it.

So the only way i would be 100% sure is to test one out?
This one is way too expensive for me just for testing 😀 But id love to contribute. I will be on the lookout for one.
