Ok this isn't really vintage but I thought why not post it here anyway

I am having this problem with my USB floppy drive (or more specifically the driver)

Frequently it stops working (no drive letter)
and in device manager it has a yellow thing
The device status says

1Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware because a previous instance of the device driver is still in memory. (Code 38)

It happens all the time and I have to reboot to fix it

This is Windows Vista 32 bit
