I was just wondering does anyone know the first graphics card that supports high color (either 15/16/24/32 bit)
that is designed for AT compatible machines. Obviously all the earlier cards were palatalized so who was first to use direct color?

Looks like the IBM XGA supported 16 bit color at 640x480 if the VRAM was upgraded as well as 1024x768
Very impressive for 1990
