Apps are not supported on DOSBox, and users are encouraged to NOT use DOSBox for business applications (or use with any other valuable data). Some applications should work, but not every application. Most databases will fail because FILES= and file locking is not supported on DOSBox.
There are other emulators (dosemu, vdos, qemu, virtualbox, vmware) than could make your app work, and also some other derivatives from DOSBox.
If you run into troubles making your app work, don't even try to ask. DOSBox programmers are not interested in making apps work.
