Hey folks,

I'm new to using DOSBox, and DOS gaming in general, so please be gentle.

I'm currently running the most recent versions of DOSBox and DBGL, and even though all of the other games I have save perfectly, SLH will refuse to do so. I've already tried several small things, like running DBGL as an admin, etc.

When i save in-game, it never actually records. Whenever i reboot the game no record has been saved. I've seen where other people have gotten this to work just fine, so i'm sure it's something i don't have configured correctly.

Do i need to create a specific folder or something for saves?

Thanks for your help!

I have a folder in C, on my desktop, where i keep all of my media. SLH is in there. should i put the game's contents into a system folder?

No, you do not want to use a system folder because of the limited write access. I was just trying eliminate that as a possible cause of your problem. Did you run the game's installer/setup? Sometimes a game might look to a specific place for its saves. The installer will sometimes create it, but the game itself might not be able to create it on demand. Just to be sure, run the game's original installer.
