There are several versions of Mixed Up Mother Goose, AGI, SCI 16-color, SCI 256-color VGA Disk and CD, and the Deluxe SVGA CD. My Mixed Up Mother Goose 256-color VGA CD supports Sound Blaster, Sound Blaster with selectable I/O and IRQ, IBM PS/1, Tandy DAC and Disney Sound Source. I can get every sound option working with the game except DSS (PS/1 with Yhkwong's build). With DSS, the game complains of being unable to detect audio hardware, even though the DSS is enabled in dosbox.conf.

The DSS uses a separate executable called SIERRADZ.EXE, while the other sound drivers use the standard SIERRA.EXE.

Is yours the blue disc or the red? Anyway, it sounds like the same problem as with the AUDBLAST.DRV on both the MUMG CD and the Jones CD. My MUMG installer includes a AUDBLAST.DRV patched by a user on SHP, but without it you have to start the game from an MSCDEX loaded drive. Try a minimal install using the CD mounted with MSCDEX support. If it works, then the AUDDISNY.DRV suffers from the same problem.

Its the Blue CD. Blue is the multi-lingual version, red is the English version. I believe the Red CD may have the voices as a CD-audio track like Jones CD.

I have the red and it is multi language, too. There is no CDA track. I just tried starting it from an MSCDEX mounted drive and it stops the error. However, there are no voices. This was with 0.74. When I get some time, I'll see if the Yhkwong build makes any difference.
