I'm having an issue with Little Big Adventure 2 - Twinsen's Odyssey. The game seems to install fine and seems to run fine until I start playing and I either go to the menu or leave the house at the beginning of the game. In either case, very loud static occurs over the music/sound...Going into the options menu and moving around the different sound settings gets rid of it momentarily but as soon as I return to the main menu or the game itself the static comes back.

I have seen many issues posted about LBA2 but I haven't seen this specific one addressed. The game runs fine otherwise and I've yet to have any trouble with LBA1 either. Any thoughts?

What have you tried? Mountings? This game can be very picky about accessing the CD.

I've tried the actual CD and also a mounted virtual copy. Same problem with both but both run fine otherwise. I described it as static but it's not so much that the sound itself is distorted but more like a really loud and constant buzzing overlayed on top of the existing sound and music.
