Hi all, new here and do appologise if I am jumping right in asking for help.. I am using dosbox and got it all mounted properly.. Got the game Fisher Price Pirates so my kids can have a go at what I used to play, and me as well 😀 any how, before I rip my own head off after trying all weekend to get it running,, all I am getting is to as follows: c:/PIRATES anda flashing cursor, I believe that I have to then put in a file name that is needed to run the game but not sure what this is or whether I need to use spaces etc, have tried many variations but just keep getting Illegal comand ??
Would be greatful for any help however small.. Best regs

Run "DIR *.exe" which should list the appropriate file to type to run the game, though you may also need to look for "DIR *.bat" or "DIR *.com". DOS doesn't support file names with spaces, so it should not have any in it.

However, presuming the game is actually "Great Adventures by Fisher-Price: Pirate Ship"...

...it's a Windows game and won't run directly in DOSBox.

You may be able to install Windows 3.1 in DOSBox and get it running inside of that, but it's a somewhat complicated process to work through, and also presumes it not intended for Windows 95.
