I have a Turtle Beach Montego II card. I installed some drivers I found on CNet and I get this error. Is there any fix?

Well if you got the driver from CNet it was almost certainly just a zip file full of adware. 😉

I found that link. Do you have the 2046 drivers, or can you find them?

Doing the Dorect Download only downloads the main file.

Click Direct download.
I really can't find the version number.

interesting. I had this issue with a monster MX300 that uses the same chip. I assumed it was because I was installing it in a computer that used a riser card but I got that same error regardless of the PCI slot I used. Put in a SB Live! and it ran without issues.
I even changed the install file as shown here (http://members.optusnet.com.au/kirben/intel.html) and I still get the error.
Anyone know where I can find driver version 2046?
EDIT: found it on the Dell website. http://www.dell.com/support/home/ae/en/aedhs1 … driverId=R14811
I'll install it when I get home today.

On my website: http://www.philscomputerlab.com/aureal-vortex-2.html
I noticed that TB didn't host them anymore so I put them up on my site. I always use the latest reference drivers however.

Those really didn't really work for me. I still got the bug. I'll try the Dell installer.
Vogons Drivers has everything. Don't use 2048 because they are quite buggy. Use 2041.
Also, it often helps to search this forum. The link you found for the inf tweak should fix the PCI bus detection quirk. I know it's necessary for newer Intel (810+) and nforce chipsets.

I couldn't find it on Vogons drivers.
And the drivers I linked don't work.

Some A3D games have partially reversed stereo. Elite Force for example has some sounds placed backwards. The main draw for 2048 is the EAX support but it is poor quality so not much of a loss. They were actually beta drivers AFAIK.
There are 2050 drivers too but they have the same problems.

The site is pretty easy to navigate...

Interesting! That sounds like a pretty bad bug 😀 I will keep an ear on this in the future.
Fixed it, I accidently removed the whole line instead of the ; me being a idiot as usual :p
