PC Magazine from Dec 7th 1993 offers an excellent window back in time:

There are lots of pictures of strange and obscure hardware in here.

Anyone interested in VL EISA 486s and first gen VLB cards should really appreciate this magazine.

Awesome! The 486 DX2/66 looks like an excellent CPU 😁 I want one of those. Pentium 60 is way overpriced, although some lower-end machines seem to be priced very close to the higher-end 486s. Tough call.

And why isn't there a single Pentium 66 system in that magazine? Does it cost twice as much as the 60 or what?

It came out later, bugfixed, and more expensive - by that time, demand was much higher...
