Today, I was messing around with Battlespire for about two hours with the DOSBox settings and the game files and I searched the web and started to read about an error I encountered: 40MB+Swap Detected. It turns out that many others before me also had this error and the reason it was prevalent was not because the way DOSBox read the memory, it was because the SPIRE.BAT did not have the correct offsets for the memory of the program itself! You see, when you change the .bat extension to a .txt extenstion, change the first offset labeled 40 to 63 with Notepad and then back to the .bat extension, the program then uses 63MB instead of 40MB and DOSBox states the following: GOOD 54MB+Swap Detected.
IMPORTANT INFO: THIS WILL NOT WORK UNLESS YOU SET THE SPIRE.CFG TO BYPASS=1 AND SET THE DOSBOX.CFG TO MEMSIZE=63, OTHERWISE YOU WILL ENCOUNTER CAUSEWAY ERROR 09. (Attachment has been updated accordingly)
