hello, first ive read the read me 15 times ). im trying to play master of magic which is located in my c drive. i get the path cd/mps/magic to take on the dos line but if i type magic again which is the trigger in my old dos to start the game nothing happens. i know im not doing something simple any help would be appreciated. thanks rick

Is the file name your typing a .exe .bat or .com file?

If it is a .bat or .com you may need to type magic.bat if there is a file of the exact same name but with a different extension.

If you get a "bad command or file name" error, then you are in the wrong directory.

What do you see if you give the command:

C:\MPS\MAGIC> DIR *.EXE

and

C:\MPS\MAGIC> DIR *.BAT

"Magic" could be an executable (.com, .exe, .bat) somewhere in your path, it doesn't have to be in \mps\magic.
Dosbox doesn't use Windows path (well at least not inside it's shell.)

Search for magic.* in c: and subdirs.
