Hi all,

just the satisfaction to say I actually found (finally) an Intel Overdrive 100 (5v) for this 486sx (originally 25) motherboard of an old Decpc. I already tested it with an Overdrive 66Mhz but today I got this 100Mhz (read 95 actually 33x3) and it runs incredibly well! And I found also a pair of 16Mb 72pin that incredibly this mainboard can read (only 4 of other maybe 30 simms I tested are read correctly) for a total of 64Mb.
I have to find the cache memories this will be difficult.

So Decpc 486 mainboard with ODPR 100 (33x3), 64Mb, 512Mb Seagate with an AT supply into an ATX modded case! 😁

I am going to test it with some tools and games so I hope to update with some results.

Actually posting with it with Offbyone browser!

I'd like to use this Trascend 512Mb Flash ide module I don't have the supply cable for that connector, where could I find one or adapt it?

Thank

pictures of module would help

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

It sounds like you are looking for a cable like this

Sorry I forgot to post the connector image but it looks like that in the auction. What i dont understand if it is a proprietary connector or not. Sure it's impossible to build one.

its standard connector for DOM modules. they are actually so common for server boards the motherboard itself will supply power. That said, one pin is ground (black) and the other will be 5v. (red). The one in the auction converts a "normal" disk drive connector to that of the DOM.

Thanks! I'm going to search one cause I would like a bit more speed on the disk side.

Anyway I don't have many numbers for now but compared to he 66Mhz with 36Mb, Windows 95 is actually faster, not that much I was obviously expecting and not even close to the P75. Quake at full screen 320x200 is playable as I remember from the minimun requirements but really pushed to its limits. I would say from 10fps to 20fps.
