Hello everyone,
as I have written elsewhere, I recently installed a motherboard Legend QDI P6I440BX BrillianX 1S (my ASUS P2B-F is dead ...) to be coupled to a Pentium III @450 on slot. The BIOS of this card is not very complete as many of those ASUS, but has a nice feature for still afford to change up / down the CPU frequency - very simplistically, as it does not touch values as voltages and timings of memories, etc .
My question (which I hope is not really that stupid) is the following: if I set the "jumpers emulation" @ 2x 100fsb so I would downclock the CPU to 200mhz, do you think the voltage and consumption fall accordingly? Or the voltage remains unchanged? A Pentium III 450 is not always necessary (almost never, I think...). How much downclock do you think I should set to play safely at all?
