I found an old ISA sound card model ESS AudioDrive ES1868F but i do not know how to connect the cd audio cable to it. Here is a picture of the cable that comes out of my CD ROM. It has 3 different connectors.

I found out that one of the connectors can connect to the 2 white things on the card which have "R-G-L-G" written next to them, but i dunno which is the correct one, or if any of those are for the cd at all. I'm afraid it'll break the card if i connect the cable to the wrong spot. Here is a picture of the sound card.

I would really appreciate it if someone knowledgeable could tell me which connector do i use (left one, right one or the one on the top) and where do i plug it in.

Connect the left-most one in the picture of your cable to the middle header in the sound card picture... Provided the black wire is connected to a pin marked G (Ground) it should be fine. The connector is likely marked "Panasonic" as those ones were their standard - Though other companies used those connectors, this is what the type was consistently refered to as.

At the time, different CD-ROM manufacturers had different competing standards, so cables and sound cards often had multiple connector types available to ensure compatibility.
