Is there a trick to getting this game to run properly? My issue is strange. I've gotten it to install and can run the game. When I get into it and start a new game, it begins just fine but after several seconds the smooth framerate slows way down and becomes jerky and choppy when I try to move anywhere. It also nearly instantly starts getting jerky when I am scrolling right and get to a wall that won't let me scroll any further. I'm not sure what is going on here but I've tried a variety of settings (I use dosbox a LOT) in my configuration file and nothing seems to work.

I'm using Dosbox SVN-Daum (I believe the 1/25/14 version)

I've tried doing stuff like changing cpu from pentium to 486, core from dynamic to normal etc., upping ram settings, changing video card emulation. Pretty much anything I can think of but the game still keeps having this problem. It strikes me as odd almost as if something weird is happening with the memory handling because the readme file with the game mentions it getting choppy if you have insufficient ram but even after upping my RAM from 16 megs to 32 megs it still has issues. I've verified it is working through the mem command to just be sure and I've got enough low memory (634k out of 640) available, too.

Anyone have any ideas or tricks I might want to try?

Did you try stock 0.74?

Yeah, it seems to work fine in stock 0.74.

Go figure.

I wonder what's up with Daum that is causing issues? It's a bummer because I've got Daum setup to look nearly perfectly like a true CRT monitor on my lcd. 🙁

I've now tried the most recent version of SVN-Daum and still am having the issue.
