Even though I seem to have a natural aversion towards anything looking even remotely Japanese, and whatever happens to be in the realm of consoles is very much uncharted territory for me, after watching a few vids here and there, boy that game seems like serious fun. I even heard a couple sound samples I recall were used in Tenchu 2.

Nevertheless the voice acting from the kickstarter video leaves a lot to be desired, and a 7 figure deadline with barely a few days to go just doesn't seem right.

They beat the 2 million mark in under 8 hours. This project will probably reach 6+ million still on this week.

My bet? Sony is using this as a way to measure the level of interest in this game. They will probably be the ones funding this project fully, even if KS gets more than needed to do it. The current team is kinda small for an ambitious project as the other first ones were - too many things to be done to be on par with all the detail they imbued them.
