I have recently received a prototype of a Waveblaster-compatible MIDI board called the Dreamblaster X1. It is a new board, developed by Serge Defever, an electronics engineer from Belgium. Judging by my own tests and the recordings he put up on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/user/daninksy), it is a great alternative for anyone looking for a high quality wavetable board like the Roland or Yamaha boards, which have become rather rare and expensive.
As this board uses FLASH memory, it will have the capability to store different soundsets. This is still a work in progress. The soundset provided with the board is quite good, so check it out!

A limited number of these boards will be available soon!
