What is this front panel connector used in HP Vectra computers? If the white connector is removed from the wires, would it be possible to use the same crimp pins if putting a black crimp connector housing shown in the image below?

yes it is. It's a modification I performed on my Vectra VL420 SF when I replaced it's motherboard for an Asus P4P800-M. Hardest part was figuring out witch wires do what. You'll probably have a white wire left over since the power led is two-color - green and orange.

I will try to change the pin housing on the weekend. I have the computer case front currently removed and I also checked the wire colors. The blue wire is for power button, green wire is for the green led and the red wire is the yellow led.
