Has anyone actually gotten this combination to work properly?
I've tried five different boards, and the results are a mixed bag. It doesn't appear to be completely chipset dependant, because I experienced two very different results with two boards based on the same chipset. Ideally I'd like to use the #FLUSH method since there is a performance penalty for using #BARB software control method.
Generic 495SX -FAIL- Has #FLUSH control lines but does not work...even with #BARB
Abit PEAK/DM - GOOD - Predates the DLC, so #BARB method used
ASI 495SX - GOOD - can't remember which method used, but I believe this board also supports #FLUSH
Generic ALi 1429 - FAIL - would not even boot up with the SCSI card installed
Soyo ETEQ - FAIL - would not boot up with the SCSI card installed
