I got this interesting dtk 386 board that has 256K cache onboard and 8 SIMM slots. So I stuck in 4x 4MB SIMMs and ran CACHECHK to see, if that cache was real or not.

After line #5, it returns "Party error but segment not found, Press any key to continue !" many times. Eventually it will get to the end of the test but results are strange.

Anyone have any idea what that means? Is my memory bad?

OK, had a little more time last night and tested the following scenarios:

DTK 386DX-40 256KB cache:
#1 4x 4MB SIMMs = parity errors while running CACHECHK
#2 4x 1MB SIMMs = no errors
#3 8x 1MB SIMMs = parity error during POST - after RAM count, only half of RAM detected

generic motherboard 386SX-25 without cache:
#1 4x 4MB SIMMs = no errors

Biostar 486DX2-80 256KB cache:
#1 4x 4MB SIMMS = no errors
