I picked up a DIGITAL PC 5510 ST last week. It's big, heavy, bulky, not my favorite of any kind. The motherboard inside is also something I have never seen before. It has a Slot 1 Pentium II CPU but almost everything else looks non-standard to me.

I installed Windows 98 on it and tried some older DOS games on it, like Commander Keen and Space Quest. Didn't get any PC speaker sounds out, don't know why.

Is this computer worth keeping or should I just take it apart? What I would like to have is a traditional beige small AT computer case, just have not found any.

Yes but the shipping costs for such a heavy item is expensive 🙁

I managed to "steal" a Venturis FX 5150 from my old school when I worked there years later. There were around 10 Venturis left in storage, but most had leaking mainboard capacitors. Besides that, I'm sure they were fine. All were scrapped and it was forbidden to salvage any of them, but I snagged one of the better ones before they went. Very nice case and compact design makes it an appealing desktop.

Some Digital computers might soon appear on Amibay/Vintage-computers 😉

- Digital Venturis FX 5133 - midi tower
- Digital Venturis 466 - desktop

I need space... although 466 is quite compact.

Visit my AmiBay items for sale (updated: 2025-08-01). I also take requests 😉

Something similar happened here at the company I worked for, but not only desktop but also Prioris and other very cool stuff which was worthless back then and now I'm banging my head
