Hi

Finally I started working on my P5A Build again and wanted to install the K6-3+ 400 which I have bought months ago.
When studying the motherboard manual I figured that the lowest possible VCore seems to be 2.0V but on the CPU I read 1.6V core and 3.3V I/O.

How are you guys running your 1.6V CPUs on the P5A?

btw, it is rev 1.04, so compatible with the K6-3+...

thanks!

It will take the 2v just fine. Run a little bit warmer, but also add more stability for overclocking.

Yeah, what Phil said. On my FIC PA-2013, the lowest I can go is 1.8V and it's totally fine with it. 2.0V should be fine.

cool, thanks! System is already up and running and feels really responsive on Windows ME.

SiSoft Sandra 99 is showing that the CPU is about as fast as a PII 450 (a little faster or slower on the various benchmarks).
