Hi.

I've read all the previous posts about getting sound in Discwolrd 1 (and especially this discworld 1), but I can't seem to get it working...

I ran SETSOUND with VDMS, and it seemed just fine. The game works as well, apart from missing the sound...

Hardware:

Gigabyte 7ZXE KT133A 5PCI 1AGP 3DIMM Audio SocketA ATX
AMD 1200
512 MB RAM
80 GB + 120 GB HDD
(perhaps I left something important and just wrote nonsense....tired as I am...)

If someone has a good idea, please share. 😀

So, I've found DosBox. The music works fine, but the speech just won't work.

Any idea?

Well, how about enabling low-level CD-ROM support if the sound is stored as audio tracks on some CD?
Or maybe you have a CD-RIP, in which case bye-bye sound?
