Hi,

I've just started using DosBox to play Privateer 2: The Darkening and it works just fine. Then I added a Thrustmaster USB joystick (which is properly configured and working in Windows 7) and it also works just fine 😀 Hence why I don't think the issue I'm about to describe relates to the game specifically, but please correct me if I'm wrong 😀

The joystick only works normally at the full cycle speed of 100% cpu. When I start hitting Ctrl-F11 to lower the speed down - I find I need it around 10% on my laptop - the joystick becomes increasingly 'twitchy' as the speed decreases. There's a lot of jumping around and drag. I've tried re-calibrating in game but that's not viable due to the erratic signals. As soon as I Ctrl-F12 back up to 100%, the joystick functions perfectly again.

I've tried the various 'core= ' options to no effect. Is there something else I can do?
