Looking for a DOS program that lets me configure a keyboard button to autofire in games (specifically Overkill, but also probably others.)

I used to play this with an old DB15 gamepad that had two autofire buttons and it was a blast. But I value my wrists/finger muscles too much to try to beat it without. 😵

Any suggestions?
