Hi, I think this post could be closed, as I've already got the 1-Track and 3-Track version of Ultim@te Race. I've been looking trough the map files, but they are not completely compatible with the Pro edition.
The PowerVR edition tracks use Map file v1.07 format while the Pro edition uses Map file v1.12 version. But the Pro version ships with a lot of dev commands to edit those files, so there is maybe still some possibility to reconvert it to the new format (hopefully). Anyway it's funny how many dev files and unused images and resources from previous versions of the game are still inside of the DATA.BIN file in the Pro version. Actually some dev commands are broken because they require files from the PowerVR edition, but now I have them and they work.
I really don't know what the Warez discussion here is all about as I'm relatively new in this forum. In any way I'm very grateful to those who shared with me the 1-Track and 3-Track editions of Ultim@te Race. It will certainly help me with my little hobby project of modernizing Ultim@te Race Pro (Inspired by what VEG did with Need For Speed III [http://www.zeus-software.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=823]).
I already got plenty of stuff working like play through the internet using TCP/IP, EAX is now compatible with Alchemy, fixed Registry permissions, removed those nasty error messages from the start, and many more.
I'm still far from the end, there are still a lot of things to do with a lot of stuff to learn, but it's a good excuse to dive into the topic of executable assembly, and it feels like a travel trough time to explore all those old API's, , find out where they came from, and how things changed nowadays.
In any case, and as long as it's not considered Warez or anything like that, I can share my progress here on this forum and provide the patches for everyone to enjoy if anybody would be interested in that.
Greetings and thanks again.
