Is there anyway that vdm sound can emulate VCPI in the future so dos games like privateer will work better than in dosbox?
VDMSound is just a sound card emulator that attaches to the regular Windows NTVDM process. In other words, this isn't about to happen. The only thing to do is to try contacting Microsoft with your complaint!

Or, have a second bootable partiton or bootable removable disk so you can play Privateer.
