So it has been well established that you can run DOSBox in DOS using the HX DOS Extender by Japeth. I have gotten this to work on numerous occasions, however on my Pentium PC it's giving me fits. It acts like it's going to run, gives me the DOSBox splash screen, then the screen goes blank and the computer restarts. Has anyone done this before; does anyone know why this happens/how to make it work?

The only reason I need this is because my video card is the ATI Rage IIc, which like all other ATI cards runs Commander Keen terribly (scroll problems, etc). So even though it's just a Pentium it should run DOSBox well enough to run Keen ... right?

Forgive me if this is just too weird for a reasonable discussion. I should probably just get a new video card, but this would work until I do... 😒
