Is there any games compatibility or stability issues compared to SB Live in Win98 ?
I'm thinking wich Creative EAX board for Win9x games to take.

other questions
Is SB Live 5.1 series worse in some way for games than previous Live models or it's totally better?
Wich Live models are best for Win98 gaming?
Does Audigy 2 has same drivers problems in 98 as Audigy 2 ZS?

IIRC the Audigy 1 had some compatibility problems with the PCI bus leading to instability. Those were due to the hardware and don't think they were fixable by drivers.

With a bit and a byte
And a read and a write,

What problems does the ZS have in 98? Its what I use and haven't had any problems that I've noticed, and fond the driver felt "cleaner" then the original SB Live

98 drivers for the Audigy cards are annoying. You need the CD for the card and install is lengthy. Audigy 1 at least uses VXD drivers by default, which you need for EAX to work right. Audigy 2 comes with a utility to switch to VXD after install, requiring even more time and rebooting. Audigy 2 sounds cleaner (particularly headphone mode) and could be more stable hardware.

I like Audigy 2 (ZS) for 98SE. Probably the best choice for EAX games in my experience.

I'll have to check out the Audigy 2 under Windows 98 one day.

How do you go about switching the driver to VXD? Is there an entry in the start menu, or a tool in the program folder?

I saw the data about ZS issues in Win98 on vogons not long ago. This may depend on concrete games, software and hardware environment.

I also use a ZS in my 98se machine. Never had any issues. Yhea, the installation and driver switch is a pain but after its set up it seems like great card for 98.

Not sure about the standard Audigy 2 but the ZS just has an entry in the start menu, yeh its an extra step/restart but setting up a 9x box involves so many restarts 1 more isn't really going to make a difference.
