I get a message saying 'You must be an Administrator to install VDMSound' whenever I try to install, but this is my personal computer, i'm the only one that uses/owns it...

Try VMSOund 2.1.0 beta first. If that still doesn't work then, in Control Panel, under Users, make sure your user (or the user as whom you try to install) is member of the "Administrators group.

How do I become an admin? I'm running Win98SE. Windows help is very frustrating...
VDMSound is *only* for NT based systems (NT/2000/XP) !!!
If you search forums you will find unofficiall port for W9x. But be warned that it will be probably worse than normal VDMSound (it is done by somebody else, not by the core VDMSound developers).

I think some people might need to know what is an "administrator" So Vladr please define administrator for people not in-the-know.
