For one, you can't run .pif's through VDMSound, the two are completely different and incompatible things.

You can reduce the DMA period if you want - easy with LaunchPad, do you have LaunchPad?

I kept reading about Launchpad, but thought it only came with the newest version. Now I have it, and configuring is MUCH easier! Thank you!!!

I was struggling with PIFs. Please don't laugh, what I did was create and play with a PIF, which then called a BAT file, which in turn invoked DOSDRV and the EXE. It was a real pain, cuz I had to keep modifying both VDMS.INI and the PIF to try stuff. But at least it allowed me to try.

LaunchPad is COOL! Ten times easier!!!

Sadly, neither VAT nor ScreamTracker appear to work, regardless of trying every LaunchPad setting. *sigh* I hooked up an older computer and tried them (Win95). They will only run if you boot into DOS mode on a Win95 machine. *Big sigh* If anybody ever finds out how I can run this, PLEASE let me know...

ST has timer problems in WIndows, forget about it - only run it in rea DOS or in DosBox.
