I am having trouble with the digital sound in the game Tie fighter, after much tinkering I can manage to get into the game and play mission (take a bit of guess work with some of the buttons as the screen sometimes blacks out) but anything I try does not seem to work.

I am running windows XP and the sound card is in built with the motherboard. The sound cars is an NVIDIA nForce audo card.

Does anybody have any suggestions as to how I could get the sound working?

Any help would be much appreicated.
