hello i am trying to run frederik pohl's gateway. i get a black screen-- when i press return, the screen turns white, and if i press return again it turns black but it freezes and i cannot get it to do anything. i am running dosbox on on os x. thanks.

Did you run the setup?

the only executables i have are gate.exe and gaitmain.exe, i do not see a setup file.

i got it to work by running in ega mode. thanks.

There should be an INSTALL.EXE on the first disk.
