Hi. I noticed that on the official website there are windows drivers. Is there a way to load drivers with no installation of windows? I meant to use 50ct for pure dos.

The 50CT uses an OPL3-SA2, the 70CT uses an OPL3-SA3. http://www.soundcard-drivers.com/companies/1165.htm Seems to have an OPL3-SA* driver for MS-DOS... might be worth a try?
Edit: Actually, try this instead, there are Win3.1/DOS drivers under the OPL3-SAx Drivers heading: http://www.yamaha.co.jp/english/product/lsi/d … load/index.html
Wow. Works! Thank you a million.
Btw, are there any DOS/Win 3.1 drivers for ESS ES 1978?
Not a problem, glad it helped 😀
Unfortunately, after googling around a bit, I've not found anything earlier than win95 support for the ESS ES1978...
I'm must say, that in pure Dos, Libretto Sound Card is far from being perfect. I play mod files and they are played with static noise, so sound is not crystal clear.
Is it better in Windows? I agree it's far from perfect, but definitely not worse than it is to be expected judging by contemporary desktop components in close price range, namely other YMF71x cards, SB 16 and Vibra16.
