Recently, I bought a gravis gamepad to play msdos games. However, I do not get it to work in any of them. It goes crazy. I tried it on older games (lakers vs celtics) and modern (nba 95, fifa 96) In all it is the same.

Is it possible to use this pad for these games?

If this is not possible. What I recomendáis pad that works 100%?
