I installed VDMSound 2.1.0 and SolVBE 1.2 beta on my Windows XP machine. I have a Pentium IV 2.6GHz (OC@3.2GHz) and I'm testing the game "Blood." I could barely get this one to run under DOSBox, but the VESA mode works great under SolVBE. I can play all the way up to 800x600 with butter-smooth framerates.
One major problem under SolVBE is that the gameplay feels sluggish - about half the "speed" of what it should be. It's as if the renderer is not skipping any frames at all. VDMSound, however, is another issue: I can get sound, but it's extremely choppy and lagged. Any ideas? I've been selecting Sound Blaster 16 (default) setup. Please see my attachment (VDMS shortcut). What I've done is setup a batch file that launches SolVBE and then a command prompt so I can choose which game I want to play.
Thanks in advance. Keep up the good work!
