Just wondering if anybody can shed some light on an issue I'm having.
I pulled a DELL Optiplex 433 out of storage to discover it's case & PSU had rusted and were basically destroyed. I salvaged the motherboard, a Socket 3 motherboard with an ATX connector. I have no idea if the motherboard is even working, but without a power supply I'm stuck.
I've tried to test the board with several ATX PSUs and it wouldn't power on, except occasionally with a DELL PSU from a Pentium II era OptiPlex (but no POST). I seem to recall that DELL often used a non-standard type of ATX connector in their PCs? If that is the case, I don't suppose anybody knows of a way to get a normal ATX PSU working with 1 of these motherboards?
