Is it possible to find the driver set for this specific model of sound blaster for windows 3.1/dos?
here on vogons that is, and its the regulare ISA version of the card.
Um, not sure what you're exactly looking for, but here's a SB16 driver for Windows 3.1 dated '93 (readme says '92).
Normally, in DOS, there's no software required for CT1740.. Except for the mixer utility maybe.

I had exactly the same issue recently and found the correct drivers here:

Once you have extracted the files, go into the ARCHIVES folder andrew extract the 'SoundBlaster 16 Install Disks' Zip archive. In there you will find the four installer disks for DOS andrew Win 3.1. Ideally you will copy the contents of each archive onto individual floppies and then install 😀
