Hello Everyone,
It's been a long time since I've been on these forums! Anyways, I'll get into it. Basically, I have a PC XT clone sporting a 8088 (not sure if it's a -2 or not) board that I want to build a system around. However, all I have is a MFM controller, and both MFM drives I have are siezed. However, I heard somewhere that you can make a IDE controller. Does anyone know of any that won't cost an arm and a leg?

Q: Why didn't Intel call the Pentium the 586?
A: Because they added 486 and 100 on the first Pentium and got 585.999983605.

I saw that one, but I am not sure if you can still get the PCB. However, are there schematics or a PCB layout for these controllers?

Yes, you can still get the PCB and the BoM. You can even get an assembled card, in fact they're still for sale on Amibay from a fellow-vogoner.
