Hi, I have really big suspicion that my 386 caught some virus since it didn't sound right on startup. The access sound were different then those from past 15 years, it got longer and the system slowed down, so my suspicion is that some virus is infecting programs on run. I don't know if there is any virus that is active on October 1st since I didn't carry any programs there since maybe two to three months ago and everything was right until today.

What I need is some AV that
a) fits and can be run from single 1,44MB floppy disk
b) is reliable enough to scan the entire system and finds everything malicious
c) has the newest definitions (from the system perspective)

Thanks for suggestions 😀

I don't have a solution that runs from a 1.44mb floppy but here is the latest DOS F-PROT scanner and 2009 definitions, it will catch everything: https://www.mediafire.com/file/nzz9bzbdzvd677 … /F-PROT-316.rar

will be a little slow to boot (because of 386) but the scanner/cleaner will work fast.

Cool, thanks, but the only problem is that HDD is full and I don't want to delete anything (system is running since 2000 with no changes) and the only I/O is 3,5" floppy.

Uh... Well, it's a possibility too, I could try it...
