I have recently installed Age of Empires 2 on my Win 98 build that is using a Voodoo 3 3500 video card. When I try to play the game I keep getting the following error:
"Could not initialize graphics system. Make sure that your video card and driver are compatible with DirectDraw.

I am using Directx 6.1a also.

Any ideas of how to get this game going?

Try installing DirectX 7.0a. If that doesn't do it, different versions of the Voodoo3 driver.
