I recorded the song from the first location of the game in a hotel room.
I enclose real old mt32 module recordings in normal and also in GM mode.

Which one should be correct for this game?

Also I have noticed the emulator (both built in dosbox and external windows driver) sometimes plays the gm mode and the other time I run the game plays normal mode. Though I am not switching emulator to GM mode. Why?
