When I play lands of lore cd version, the sound works fine and everything, except there is a problem with the voices. Quite often, the game has to access the cd and the game kind of hangs for a couple of seconds waiting for the cd to access and then plays the voice. Then if no voice is needed for about 30 seconds, it seems like the cd slows down and then the next time the game needs to get voice the game hangs for a few seconds waiting for the cd to speed up. This makes for pretty jerky game play as voice is used quite a bit in the game. Of course the game runs smooth without voice on.
I am running windows xp professional with a 32x cdr, 1.2ghz athalon, and i dont have any problems like this with other games. Any suggestions what i can do to help this.
