I've recently spotted one of these for cheap at a thrift store and decided to buy it. I hoped since it was a Microsoft mouse that it would work in a serial port through an adapter. At the moment the only adapter I have seems to be busted, is this mouse actually serial compatible or no?

There may be exceptions, but Microsoft mice should have the word "serial" on the bottom label when they're compatible.
