Hi!
I have a Transcend Compact Flash of 256 MB. I use in my retro PC with a CF to IDE adapter without any problems The exactly model is Industrial CF300 like this picture:
I can configure to work like a primary, secondary IDE hard disk without any issues
Last month I bought another CF, the same model, but 512MB of capacity. Now I have a problem: I can NOT boot form MS-DOS 6.22 with this CF card
The CF is properly detect by BIOS. I can configure like primary and secondary IDE but it doesn't boot. If I put a boot disk in the drive A , system starts properly and the CF works properly like C hard drive, but it never boots.
Yesterday I made another test: I installed W95 OSR2 and CF boots without any problems
Any ideas why the 512MB CF does not boot in MS-DOS
