Anyone have any luck or tips on how i can take a full size case bracket and modify it down to a low profile bracket? I have two NICs I need to get into a low profile case. The NIC itself is low profile, its just on a full size bracket and I dont feel like buying low profile NIC Brackets as the ones I find on ebay cost a bit too much...

Anyone know any cheap ones or way to modify the bracket, cut it and bend it properly, so it fits?

Pretty easy to do.

1. Install card in slot
2. Mark bracket where it needs to bend.
3. If the bracket has a small l-shape for rigidity, you will need to cut that small l so you can bend it there without messing up the bracket.
4. Remove bracket from card
5. bend bracket (using the edge of a block of wood or metal and clamping the bracket in place will help to make sure the bend is straight)
5. Cut the new bracket top to the correct length after comparing/marking it with another bracket.
6. use a file or dremel/drill with small grinding stone to cut slot for the screw.
7. file/sand any sharp edges/left over metal shards from where it was cut.
8. Reinstall bracket onto the card
