Panzer General won't load

Hello everyone.

I'm very excited about this program. I loaded up the Panzer General installer and VDMS handled everything for me, including making enough extended memory to appease the installer's diagnostic program (without VDMS I would always miss the XMS mark by a wide margin).

Unfortunetly, aftering setting everything up (it detected VDMS's emulated soundblaster without a hitch) I hit a brick wall when trying to load the game itself:

Failed to load @:\lib\drv\Vesa480.dll

I can't load the game at all because of that error. I scanned through the FAQ but right now I'm very tired and I didn't notice anything in the FAQ that seemed to deal with this problem specificly.

Can some one help a general out?

Upon further investigation, this may be a problem with the game itself.

Got it! It was reading from the 'wrong' CD-rom drive. Solution was to simply put the cd into a different drive.

It's always the simple stuff that gets you, eh? 😜
