Audio Technica ATH-AD700X or maybe Sony MDR-V6. Depends on whether you want the whole room to hear what you're listening to. Open air designs do that but they are also more comfortable.

But actually I was always most impressed with what Vortex could do with just 2 speakers. Way more interesting than most other sound cards. Audigy / XFi headphone mode is more enjoyable to me than Vortex's.

I like the way my Superlux 681's sound with the Vortex 2, but the Monoprice 108323 ones I got came with a long 12ft cord.

12 feet!!! Might hang myself with it!

I bought them from Monoprice, but the listing says two 4ft cables, the one on Amazon says 11.5ft for the same headphones...not sure why the difference.
